Manchester Firefighter Charged With Buying Heroin

WFSB reports that Joseph Litrico, 24, bought heroin while on duty at the Eighth District Firehouse.

Manchester firefighter Joseph Litrico, 24, confessed to buying heroin while on duty at the Eighth Utilties District Firehouse, according to WFSB.

Litrico is the son of Eighth Utilities District Fire Chief Paul Litrico and Assistant Chief Mary Beth Litrico, according to the Manchester Police Department.

WFSB reports that the East Central Narcotics Task Force staked out the firehouse after receiving a tip that a firefighter was buying drugs at the location. On Monday, a blue vehicle arrived at the firehouse, and Litrico was seen making an exchange with the driver, according to the Hartford Courant. He was later arrested.

Police also arrested the driver of the vehicle, Marlborough resident Kenneth Bowman, WFSB reports.
