Man Reportedly Caught Stealing Condoms, Red Bull

Manchster man arrested near Evergreen Walk

Police arrested a Manchester man Wednesday after officers reportedly saw him stuffing condoms and Red Bull into his coat, according to a police report.

South Windsor Police officers were wearing plain clothes and working on an assignment to target enforcement in the Buckland Road/ Evergreen Walk area. 

Officers reportedly saw the man, William Cratty, 30, or 343 Parker St., stuff the condoms and two 12-packs of Red Bull into his coat, then flee the store.

Officers reportedly grabbed the man who actively resisted their efforts to handcuff him. The man was in possession to have a box cutter and $70 worth of merchandise, according to the report. 

Officers arrested Cratty, and charged him with third-degree robbery, breach of peace, interfering with an officer, larceny in the sixth degree, and possession of the shoplifting device.

Cratty was held on $25,000.00 surety bond and was presented at Manchester Superior Court on Thursday morning.
