Glastonbury Man Charged in South Windsor Cocaine Bust

The man is facing an array of drug related charges after his arrest Tuesday.

A 37-year old Glastonbury man is in custody after he allegedly sold cocaine to undercover South Windsor police officers in the parking lot of the Fairview Dairy on Spielman Road Tuesday, April 23, 2013. 

According to police, Larry "Izzy" Brooks, 37, of 286 East Opal Dr., Glastonbury, was taken into custody after he sold the drugs to police. Police also seized 3.5 grams of cocaine from Brooks. 

Brooks was charged with four warrants for the sale of cocaine, two warrants for possession of cocaine and two warrants for possession of marijuana. He is being held on a $100,000 surety bond on each warrant. 

Brooks has an extensive criminal history in Connecticut, according to police, which includes prior narcotics arrests. 

The arrest was made by members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force. The East Central Narcotics Task Force, in cooperation with other municipal, and federal law enforcement agencies, is interested in stopping illegal narcotics sales and use in the Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon, and Glastonbury communities.  Anyone with information pertaining to any illicit drug activity is asked to contact the East Central Narcotics Task Force at (860) 645-5548.  All calls will remain confidential.
