Firefighters Rescue Woman From Case Mountain Waterfall

A woman slipped and fell into the waterfall at Case Mountain Recreation Area Sunday night, needing to be rescued by the Manchester Fire Department.

A woman who slipped and fell into the waterfall at the Case Mountain Recreation area late Sunday was rescued by firefighters after her 14-year old daughter called 911. 

According to the Manchester Fire Department, an unidentified woman was walking across the waterfall at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday when she slipped and slid approximately 15 feet down into the rocks at the bottom of the falls, where she became wedged. 

The woman's 14-year old daughter was able to call for help on her cell phone, and firefighters arrived on the scene soon after to extract the woman from the bottom of the falls via a rescue basket.

The woman's injuries were described as non-life threatening and she remained conscious the whole time, according to fire personnel. She was transported to a hospital after the rescue.
