Family of Missing Man Launch Facebook Page

Family and friends of on Dec. 7 have organized a Facebook page to try and help develop leads or receive information that they hope will lead to his safe return. 

Haidar Mustafa Abushaqra, a 40-year old Ellington resident and father of six, was last seen at 369 Main St. in Manchester at approximately 8:24 p.m. on the evening of Dec. 7, according to Manchester Police. The address corresponds to the offices of Family Auto of Manchester, which the Facebook page, "Please help us find Haidar Abushaqra," states that Abushaqra had a business involvement with. 

As of Tuesday evening, the "Please help us find Haidar Abushaqra" Facebook page had more than 1,640 likes. 

The circumstances behind Abushaqra's disappearance and information family members have received since is described as follows on the page: 

Haidar Abushaqra also known as "Harry", 40, went missing December 7, 2011 after an altercation at work. Haidar was last seen at his dealership at 369 Main St. in Manchester, CT and is a father of 6 children, 4 of which were the Quadtruplets that were delivered at the UConn Health Center. He was last heard from at 8:30pm December 7th by his wife, Nada Jad. He told her that he would be home soon to take her to the movies. Haidar's mercedes was found abandoned in the parking lot of the dealership Thursday morning. Authorities will NOT give out any leads or information to help finding this man and bring him home to his family. Media has not been updated and/or are not updating people and the Connecticut community of any leads that may help find him. We know as much as you all do, the authorities are not releasing any information, not even to family. That is one reason why the information and details are so scarce.

Abushaqra is described as standing 5’-6” tall, weighing approximately 205 pounds, with brown hair and black eyes.
