Elderly Manchester Woman Killed in Glastonbury Crash

Police identified the 74-year-old woman that died in a head-on crash in Glastonbury Tuesday morning.

Glastonbury Police have identified the 74-year-old woman that died in a head-on crash on Hebron Avenue Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police say Marcia C. Hasemann, 74, of High Street in Manchester, was driving east on Hebron Avenue at 10 a.m. Tuesday when her car crossed into the westbound lane, sideswiped another car, then slammed head-on into a westbound vehicle, according to police.

The driver of the car that was struck head-on, Linda Cole, of Cedar Ridge Terrace in Glastonbury, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, police said. Initial emergency alerts indicated that Lifestar was called for the scene, but did not fly due to inclement weather.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash.

Police closed the section of Hebron Ave. between Keeney St. and Weir St., but it was reopened by 1:30 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Anthony Pagliughi at (860)633-8301.
