Cops: Manchester Raid Results in $20K in Narcotics & Shotgun, Arrest of 2

A Manchester man and woman were charged with selling drugs, and a shotgun, BMW and pickup truck were seized Wednesday, according to reports.

Police with a search warrant Wednesday found about $20,000 in marijuana and the drug Ecstasy, also known as "Molly", along with a shotgun in a 19 Florence St. apartment, and they arrested the man and woman who live there, according to reports.

A BMW 530i and a Ford F-150 pickup truck were seized in the raid by the East Central Narcotics Task Force, the Hartford Courant reported.

Daymon Deleware, 27, and Renee Fredericks, 25, were each arrested on various charges related to having drugs within a certain distance a school and intending to sell them, a WNTH-TV report said.

Also according to the Courant report:

Police found about 41 grams of the drug MDMA, also known as Ecstasy or Molly and with an estimated street value of $3,400, together with marijuana, which police valued at $16,800.

Also in the apartment were packaging materials for drug sales, more than $3,000 in cash and surveillance equipment, according to the Courant. Police seized all that along with several cell phones, a laptop computer and the vehicles.

Delewere and Fredericks were each being held in lieu of $150,000 bond.
