Bolton Man Leads Police on Multi-Town Chase

A 20-year old Bolton man is facing a litany of charges after he violated a protective order and then led state police on a multi-town chase that ended when he crashed his car in Hebron.

According to police, Nicholas David Bartolucci, 20, of 65 Shoddymill Rd., Bolton, paid repeated visits to his ex-girlfriend's Manchester residence on June 13, 2013. Bartolucci's ex-girlfriend has a protective order against him, and Manchester Police Capt. Christopher Davis said Bartolucci sped away from Manchester police both times he was spotted in the vicinity of his ex-girlfriend's residence.

Davis said Manchester police did not pursue Bartolucci, but that he was spotted and pursued by a state police car. The chase ended when Bartolucci crashed his car in Hebron.

Bartolucci, who is awaiting trial on a number of other offenses, including home invasion and reckless endangerment, was charged with violation of a protective order, three counts of failure to obey a stop sign, failure to obey a traffic control signal, traveling too fast for conditions, traveling unreasonably fast, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving and disobeying the signal of an officer. He is being held on a $200,000 bond at the Hartford Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in court on the charges June 28, 2013.
