Who Makes the Best Pizza?

Patch wants to know what you love to eat in area restaurants.

Pizza, pizza, pizza!

Who doesn’t love a good slice of pizza?

And the great thing about pizza is that it can pretty much be tailored to suit your dietary desires, so whether you’re a meat-loving carnivore or a hardcore vegetarian, you can usually find a pie that matches your palette.

Although our pizza joints east of the Connecticut River may not be as renowned as those in New Haven area, there’s still lots of locations up this way where you can find a great pie, from in Manchester to in Willington, and plenty of places in between.

So, Patch wants to know — who makes your favorite pizza? Is it the dough, the cheese or the toppings? Deep-dish or thin-crust? Does the brick oven really matter? What about the ambiance of the restaurant itself? Do you prefer to eat in or takeout?  New York, Chicago, Hawaiian-style or a simple Margherita?

Share your favorite pizza experiences in the comments below – because, who knows, maybe you’ll discover a local gem or a new favorite pie.

Each week, Patch plans to throw out a different category of food or drink – well, not literally – and ask you to tell us all about your favorites. Join in the conversation and let's see what everyone is eating!
