Manchester let this superintendent get away.

"After a months-long search, Board of Education officials announced Friday that Southington Superintendent Dr. Joseph V. Erardi, Jr. will lead the Newtown school district as its next superintendent."

Joe, a one time Manchester teacher and high school soccer coach, was a finalist for Manchester super and based on comments by those involved got in the middle of a BOE-BOD power play and even though he was the BOE top candidate it did not happen.  after that Joe was loved in Watertown and Southington so I am sure Newtown will benefit from this superior leader.

it will be interesting to see how long it ages Southington , a system about the size of Manchester to replace him. Bet it will not be 3 years.
