Community Update

Just
found this picture hidden in an old picture album.  From the Manchester
Herald taken on the corner of Haynes & Main Streets in 1964.  The
handsome young driver is me, Chet Morgan.  I was a member at that time of
the local Military Police unit; Co A, 169th Infantry Battalion, 43rd Division
of the CT Army National Guard unit in Manchester.  All no longer exist but
we remaining members of the 169th INF still meet annually to share a few brews,
memories and remember our absent brothers, many who served in WWII and Korea.
I believe even the Manchester Armory (where I played basketball for the
Manchester High team in the 50's) is no longer used by the Guard.

"Those were the
days my friend......we thought they'd never end............."
