Obituary: Deborah A. Hills of Manchester

Deborah A. Hills passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, March 24, 2014.

She was born February 24, 1953, in Manchester. Her lineage dates back to William Hills, a passenger on the "Lyon" in 1632. William Hills settled in Hartford in 1634, then moved to East Hartford to become one of its first settlers. 

Hills is survived by her three children; Ryan Mumley; Cori (Ottone) Gorcenski and husband Eric Gorcenski; and Shannon Mumley; her three sisters Deana (Hills) Richard and husband Peter Richard; Dale (Hills) Paquette, and Donna (Hills) Rabbett and two loving grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Hills passed her creativity, caring heart, sense of humor and her love of the outdoors to all who knew her. She felt most at home in nature; she loved camping, kayaking, hikes, and swimming in lakes.

Mass of Christian Burial: 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Rd., Manchester, CT 06040.
