Obituary: Carmelo William "Bill" Felice, 89, Formerly of Manchester

Carmelo William “Bill” Felice, 89, of East Hartford, husband of the late Lucy Felice, passed away on Saturday, May 17.

Born and raised in Manchester, Bill was the son of the late Guiseppi and Concetta Felice. After graduating from Manchester High School in 1943, Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II, fighting in the European theater.

After returning home, he headed to California to continue his education, becoming a civil engineer and land surveyor. Married in 1953 Bill and Lucy settled in East Hartford to start raising their family.

Surviving Bill are his children, Diane Felice, Patricia Felice, Joseph Felice and Paul Felice; grandchildren Jason, Jack, Tessa and Lila; great grandson Jason, Jr. and his sister and brother-in-law Theresa and Lawrence Falco.

Calling hours will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 21, at 9:45 a.m., from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Church, Manchester, with burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
