What Makes You Different?

A look at what it's like to do business with a company that's just as passionate about the relationships with the customers as it is about the product it sells.

By Kyle S. Reyes, Director of Marketing for Carter Chevrolet and Mazda of Manchester

Over the years, I've seen some businesses take care of customers really poorly...and I've seen others take care of customers really well.  And in this digital age of social media and online reviews, it's perhaps more important than ever before.

A couple of recent experiences at Carter Chevrolet and Mazda of Manchester sparked the thought process for me about what businesses do DIFFERENTLY to make themselves stand out.

One of the members of our sales team, Jimmy Fuska, played a huge role in organizing my stag last weekend.  I was thrilled to see a bunch of the guys I work with show up to celebrate with me.  But I was also particularly surprised when some of Jimmy's CUSTOMERS showed up.

After chatting with them for a little while, I found out that they became good friends with Jimmy after they purchased from him.  One of the guys mentioned that after chatting with Jimmy on the phone for the first time, Jimmy offered to bring the car to HIS HOUSE so he could check it out.  The guy bought the vehicle that day - and over time, became good friends with Jimmy.

The more I've chatted with our customers, the more stories like this I've heard.  Members of our sales team have brought vehicles out to their jobs so they wouldn't have to drive out of their way on lunch break to scope out vehicles.  Employees from Carter Chevrolet and Mazda of Manchester being invited to...and attending...fundraisers and family events that customers were hosting.

A buddy of mine is picking up a car from us today.  He didn't contact me until he went onto DealerRater and scoped out both our Mazda and our Chevy stores...and saw the countless five star reviews.

I've got to tell you - it feels really good to work with a company you can really take pride in.  It makes your job easier to know that the staff is passionate about doing the right thing.

We're open for the pre-holiday weekend all day Saturday and from 12pm-4pm on Sunday.  We've got some great incentives that we're able to pass along from the manufacturers who are gearing up for July 4th.  But it's also good to know I'm with a company that's fully transparent about pricing, financing and every step of the process.  I hope that if you're in the market to buy, you'll come meet the men and women at Carter Chevrolet and Mazda of Manchester that so many people are giving high marks to.

And by the way, if you're around this Saturday night - Carter Chevrolet is a proud sponsor of the Decades Dance at Cheney Hall.  Go check it out - it'll be a GREAT night.
