Don't Buy My House

A lesson in marketing....as I tell you all of the reasons I DON'T want you to buy my house.

By Kyle S. Reyes, Director of Marketing and Advertising for Carter Chevrolet and Mazda of Manchester

This whole "house selling" thing really stinks.

Always needing to have it look PERFECT.  Not being able to leave a single dirty dish in the sink.  Or boxers hanging from the door handle.  Or my copy of the book Queer Eye for the Straight Guy sitting on my desk.  (I mean....)

The whole being kicked out of your house thing.  And the strangers going through your closets thing.  Or the whole world looking into your bedroom.  It's just...uncomfortable.

So, in taking a lesson from my job, I've decided to embrace it.

Sort of.

Steve Carter, owner of Carter Chevrolet and Mazda of Manchester, always stresses to the staff the importance of telling people about the VALUE of why to do business with us.  It's not just about our awesome cars.  It's about all of the other things that come with it.  Like the hassle-free buying experience.  And the killer warranties.  And the great staff.

Steve's right.  It's not enough to tell people about the product.  It's important to tell them about the overall value.

That's why I produced a video about my house in Windsor with all of the reasons that you should NOT buy it.

Watch the video by clicking here.

Like the gorgeous sunrises from the office.  And the beautiful flowers in the yard.  The incredible park a block away.  The brand new patio and hot tub.  The new kitchen and killer lounge I built.  The amazing sunroom.  I don't want you to buy it...because I want to keep it.

In case you're wondering why I'd sell - it's because my fiancee and I both own homes...so we're putting them both on the market so we can buy a house together.  We considered the whole "his" and "hers" house thing...but decided we don't enjoying being homeowners THAT much.

But the more I worked on the video, the more I decided I really don't want you to buy it.  Because this is one heck of a house.  Frankly, for a single 20-something, a couple that likes to entertain, a young family, or even an older couple looking to downsize - this home is downright epic.

So please, don't buy it.

But check out the video.

Then save your money and instead go buy a new car from Carter Chevrolet or Mazda of Manchester.
