OFFICIALS DETERMINE OUTBREAK STARTED IN MANCHESTER

MANCHESTER- The virus that began on Main Street in Manchester, CT has officially hit the music scene.  The latest victims?  Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

“We haven’t had an opportunity to test their blood yet,” said an official who refused to be named because of confidentiality agreements.  “But our first tip-off was Kanye’s proposal last night.  Right on the giant stadium billboard read a message ‘Plleeaase Marry Meee’.  Somehow the mainstream media missed it.  This is how zombies talk.”

The celebrity couple is the second known couple to become infected in recent weeks.

Miley Cyrus hit the airwaves like a wrecking ball recently.  Many questioned her performance, confusing her erratic, infected movements as “twerking”.  She was in fact caught in a very public losing battle with Agent Z.

The stars of Duck Dynasty encourage people to prepare themselves and their souls.

Their latest message: “It ain’t gun control we need; it’s sin control,” duck-call tycoon Si Robertson said in a new group interview with Men’s Journal.

While Manchester is preparing for all of the infected to return to Main Street on Thursday, October 24 – it’s unlikely Kim, Kanye or Miley will be there.  Officials say they were last seen stumbling around LA in the middle of the night.

Ed Firestone, owner of Pinewood Furniture on Main Street, is one of just many business owners taking part in the event  in Manchester on Thursday, October 24 from 5-8pm – the Epic Zombie Block party.

For those who don't purchase the Groupon, they'll be able to purchase tickets at Pinewood Furniture, Carter Chevrolet, Beller's Music and Frame Dimensions the night of the event for $10.  EVERY PENNY RAISED from the sale of these tickets will go to support the victims of the Main Street Fire.

Tana Parseliti, Downtown Manager, said it afforded the committee the opportunity to instead shift the focus of the Epic Zombie Block Party to those who lost everything in the fire last week.

“We’ve partnered up with MACC Charities to create a special fund for the fire victims,” said Parseliti.  “People can make contributions directly to the fund…and every penny we raise through the Epic Zombie Block Party will go directly to the fund.”

Kyle Reyes, Director of Marketing for Carter Chevrolet, hopes the cause will help drive community members to come out and show their support.

“Nearly 40,000 hits on the videos about the Zombie Outbreak shows how interested people are in the event,” said Reyes.  “And now that all of the money raised through the event goes to help the victims…we hope people will come out in droves to show that Manchester is behind those impacted by this terrible tragedy.”

96.5 WTIC will be broadcasting live the night of the event from Carter Chevrolet.  MACC will also be set up at Carter Chevrolet collecting food donations to support the displaced victims.

"There's such an incredible spirit of community on Main Street," said Reyes. "It's a wonderful opportunity to rally together to help those impacted."

Details about the block party can be found on www.carterchevrolet.com/zombieoutbreak.
