Manchester Board of Directors Honors Boxing Champ and 2016 Olympic Hopeful

Manchester Board of Directors congratulate Boxing Champion.

The Manchester Board of Directors honor's Mykquan "Mikey" Williams, 14, on the boxer's triumph at the Ringside World 2012 Championship. On August 4, representing the United States  Manchester R.O.C.S. own Mykquan " Mikey" Williams defeated Australian Blake Travers to win his third consecutive World Championship belt. It's been quite a time for the young champion.

In August, Gov Dannel Malloy honored the boxer with a Proclamation. Williams and his coach Paul Cichon now have their eyes on the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Board will honor Williams with a Citation Tuesday, October 2nd at 7pm at Lincoln Center, Manchester. That day Corey's Catsup and Mustard , 623 Main Street, Manchester, will sponsor a fundraiser for Manchester R.O.C.S. in honor of the champ. Stop in from 11am - 10pm and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Manchester Ring of Champions Society. Join us at Town Hall 7pm and after at Catsup & Mustard to Eat, Drink, Laugh and congratulate the Champ. Also, check out the Champ as he and his coach offer a demonstration of his skills at Imagine Main Street event Thursday, October 6th.
