Manchester R.O.C.S. own Mykquan "Mikey" Williams is an outstanding athlete. With three consecutive world championship titles, two national titles he is a promising candidate for the 2016 Olympics. Mikey's coach Paul Cichon says that he is a superior boxer with immense talent.
The next step on the road to the Olympics will be competing at the 2013 Junior World Team Open held in Reno, Nevada January 6-13. Qualifying for this team he will represent the United States in competitions throughout the world. Manchester Ring of Champions Society (R.O.C.S.) mentors area youth of the greater Manchester area.
We are a small nonprofit all volunteer organization. The funding we receive must be used for all our kids. We unfortunately just don't have the funds to send this talented athlete to this competition. The cost is $3,000 for flights, hotel and food.
