IT's HERE! IT's HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manchester Ring of Champions Society secures 501(C)3 Tax Exempt Status.

It is difficult to explain the long, arduous task of obtaining 501 (c) 3 tax exempt status for a non-profit. The application itself along with the many attachments could have been used by our kids for weight training. The language must be exact and data precise. After proofing, reproofing and reproofing again you submit this precious document with all attachments, a pound of sweat and a cup of tears for good measure along with your check. The only proof of  acknowledgement from the Internal Revenue Service comes when they cash your check. They are actually very fast about doing this. Then it is a waiting game. During this time you hear many a horror story from other nonprofits. IRS agents are portrayed as old gunslingers. With pens instead of guns in their hands they laugh mockingly and make you dance just for amusement. Our nonprofit formed in March 2011. We just received official notice on Monday, June 25, 2012. Our tax exempt status is now retroactive to March 9, 2011. The long wait was just getting our case assigned. I did find that once it was assigned six weeks ago I was pleasantly surprised that we were assigned to  a very helpful director who helped move everything quickly.

For all those who asked me to let you know when our status is official: IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!
