Gov. Dannel P. Malloy issues proclamation congratulating Mkyquan "Mikey" Williams of Manchester R.O.C.S. Boxing club on his third consecutive win at the Ringside World Championships Tournament.

On Friday, Aug. 24 Gov. Dannel P. Malloy issued a proclamation congratulating Mkyquan "Mikey" Williams of Manchester R.O.C.S. Boxing club on his third consecutive win at the Ringside World Championships Tournament earlier this month. Williams is a member of the boxing team from Manchester R.O.C.S., a non-profit boxing club geared towards at-risk youth in the greater Manchester area.

On Aug. 6 in Kansas City, Missouri, Williams defeated Australian Blake Travers to win his third consecutive World Championship belt. Senator Steve Cassano presented the proclamation on behalf of the Governor.

Also on hand were State Representative Geoff Luxenberg, State Representative Tim Larson, Candidate Joe Diminico, Businessman and club supporter Vincent Diana, Officer Cleon Moses and Republican Senate candidate Linda McMahon. We at Manchester R.O.C.S. are a grateful for continued support of our community in our mission to improve the lives of at-risk youth in our community.
