Referrals to Builders and Banks
In the month of November, I referred 4 clients to builders that want to build homes this spring. In each case I referred them to a loan officer at local banks so that they could handle the construction loans. I have arrangements with each bank, that I will do the end loan once the construction is complete.
In each one of these situations, these builders continue to refer clients to me on a regular basis, each one of these banks refer clients to me on a regular basis, so it is my responsibility to keep referring business to them on a regular basis.
Over the last few years, 25% on my business has come from referrals from banks, credit unions and other mortgage brokers. In all these cases I continue to refer clients to all of them on a regular basis. I don’t see them as competitors at all, but rather referral partners.
