Whenever someone calls or emails and tells me they read a blog of mine, I always want to know where they saw it. She told me that she did a Google search, looking for someone that could do a jumbo mortgage and only put 10% down and she found my post, "Making a Jumbo Mortgage Work". She shared that everyone that she had spoken with required a minimum of 20% down.
Right after I spoke to her I got a call from her Realtor, who gave me the third degree and literally told me she had a hard time believing that I could possibly offer a loan product that was not offered by the local banks in the area.
I look at situations like this as an opportunity for more future business. I then sent her the information directly from the lender that verified what I told her, but to her credit she wanted to make sure that the loan product was real.

The clients called me back, thanks me for speaking to her Realtor. I then took her through the preapproval process and sent her and her agent a preapproval letter.
Events like this, constantly reminds me, why I blog as much as I do and there is nothing that can spread the word any quicker.
