"Loan Officer Interviews"

Are my standards just too high? I have been looking to add a couple of additional loan officers and I have been extremely disappointed. I will often begin an interview asking what questions they have for me. It will normally tell me if they have done some homework on me. Here are some of the questions I have been asked.

1)   Where do you advertise?

2)   How much can we charge the customer?

3)   How much do we get paid?

4)   Can I get a draw?

5)   Is an assistant available?

6)   Do we have to process my loans?

7)   What territory is available?

8)   Do I have to solicit real estate offices?

Some of the conversations change from business to the weather. It becomes a little frustrating to hear about how bad the previous company or companies were or are and why they want to leave where they are or were let go.

To me, it is not about numbers it is about hiring folks with a high level of integrity and that care are about each and every client.
