“Foreign Buyer Found Me Online”

I got an email over the weekend from someone moving to CT. She lives in France and has taken a position with a company and has a 5 year contract, starting Nov. 1st.

I wanted to understand how she found me. As it turns out I did a blog almost two years ago about doing mortgage for foreign investors. As a result of reading the blog, she Goggled my name and looked me up on Linkedin. She made it very clear that this was not a random email all the homework had been done.

During my email communication with her, I gave her some coaching on what I will need to begin a mortgage application process. She asked if I could give her a recommendation for a real estate agent. I told her I would handle it, along with referrals for all other people she will need on her team.

The bottom line to my interaction, all my blogging efforts continue to pay off.
