For more years than I care to admit, our family has served food on Christmas Day at a shelter in our area. We bring lots of food and gifts, mostly for the kids. Even though we don’t celebrate Christmas, it is one of the most beautiful holidays on this planet.
We have always felt it was our privilege to help those in need. When our children were very young, we always took them and they have continued the practice, no matter where they are.
Giving doesn’t always need to happen during the holiday season. During the year we assist at a homeless shelter, again bring in lots of food to give the staff a break.

There is no greater privilege than to give to others, especially those in need.
