Real Estate Scammers Alive and Well

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

My wife and I own a beach house in Massachusetts that we rent on a weekly basisduring the weeks that we don’t want to use the home.

We use two sites to promote the property. I got an inquiry from someone that wanted to rent our home for 4 weeks in January. During the winter months we get $2,900 per week.

The inquiry was from England and the normal process, I need to get a bunch of questions answered. One of the questions is a list of phone numbers, which this individual didn’t want to share, but let me know the cost didn’t matter. When someone tells me, the cost doesn’t matter, that is a problem.

I let him know that unless I get all of the information that I requested, that I was not willing to rent my home. That was the last I heard from the person that told me cost doesn’t matter.

Assumption School offers an excellent education, with small class sizes. The environment isRead More welcoming for every child, and values that last a lifetime are taught. Students also make friends for life. I still hang out with my friends from the Assumption School class of 1966!
