Over the years, I have purchased some of the most amazing items that were used.
A few years ago I purchased an entire house full of furniture for $2,000. It costs $500 to have everything moved. I decided to put the furniture into a two-family that I owned. The apartment was renting for $800 per month at the time, but after it was furnished the apartment rented for $1,250. You do the math.
Since there were these kinds of opportunities on places like Craig’s List, I decided to furnish most of the apartments that we own. The cash flow on our units has changed dramatically.
