Being a Boomerang Buyer

Personally I don’t like the term “Boomerang Buyer”. What if we called a second marriage a “Boomerang Marriage”? I’m sorry I just don’t like the connotation.

I have always treated all prospective buyers with the utmost respect, especially those who may have lost a home in the past. I have heard some really sad stories, but in most cases they didn’t become their past, they looked for a brighter tomorrow.

The sooner I have the opportunity to interact with someone that may have lost a home or had a bankruptcy, the better. I want to begin coaching them about how long they may have to wait to buy a home again, about their current credit situation and where they may need to get to and how much money they will need.

The many times I have worked with these clients, the following seems to be an internal conversation. They may be ashamed, frightened that they will never be able to own a home again, wonder who would ever give them a mortgage again, the list of feelings is endless.

There are many potential homeowners out there that need special hand-holding and coaching. If you know someone in this kind of situation, I will be happy to talk to them, even if they are not in a state that I do business.

The states that I am licensed are CT, MA, RI, ME, NH, VT, NY and FL.
