Volunteer Drivers From Manchester Needed for Meals Program

I reported in the most recent Manchester Review  blog about the Meals On Wheels Program for home bound seniors offered by CRT (Community Renewal Team).

Volunteer drivers pick up the meals in Vernon and deliver them to the homes of the seniors in the Greater Hartford area.   In Manchester alone there are 31 residents who subscribe to the meals program. CRT has 25 drivers from area Towns but only one from Manchester. The organization would like to add more good drivers for their Manchester routes. If you are available for  just a couple of hours per week, have a good driving record and car, you can fill a vital need for home bound seniors and brighten up their day a little when you show up with their meals. Interested Manchester residents can contact CRT for more information. Ask for Caroline at 860-871-1638.
