HENNA; A do or don't?

While it may seem like an attractive idea to put Henna in your hair; you must consider all the angles before you proceed.

What is Henna? Traditionally, Henna (Lawsonia inermis, also known as mignonette tree) is a flowering plant that’s been used for thousands of years to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather and wool. Henna can also be derived from combinations of marigold flower, indigo flower and roots, bark, henna plant leaves for different colours and shades.

Henna appeals to people who want a natural haircoloring done without any chemicals. That's a great idea, but did you know:
Once put in the hair, Henna is virtually impossible to get out! Usually the only way to remove it is to cut the hair off.
Henna has limited shades, unlike professional hair coloring, where there are hundreds of possibilities and combinations.
So..short and sweet; the next time you are considering a hair color; whether Henna or any other hair coloring method - do your home work and think it through! You will be much happier in the end!
