Nobel Peace Nominee to Speak in Manchester

John Dear, an internationally recognized peace activist, will, will speak at St. Bridget School auditorium on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m.  Dear is a popular, yet controversial lecturer.  He has been arrested seventy-five times in opposition to violence, war and nuclear weapons.  

Dear's appearance in Manchester is part of a nation-wide tour to publicize his book, The Nonviolent Life" which cites groundbreaking research supporting the effectiveness of nonviolent methods for lasting social change.

This free event is open to the public.  Copies of The Nonviolent Life will be available for sale and signing.  Refreshments will be provided.
