The Mirari Brass Quintet will open the 2013-2014 concert series of the Friends of Music at Emanuel on Saturday, October 12, at 7:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 60 Church Street, Manchester. The Quintet will perform music by J.S. Bach, Mendelssohn, arrangements of jazz tunes, and contemporary works for brass quintet. Come, and savor the smooth sonorities of this up-and-coming young brass quintet from Bloomington, Indiana. Founded in 2009, the Mirari Brass Quintet has performed throughout the United States, earning praise for their expressiveness, technical mastery, and innovative programming.
