Storytime Sessions at Manchester Public

Library begin September 9, 2013. Registration for Manchester residents begins

Tuesday, September 3, 2013, and registration for non-residents begins  Wednesday, September 4, 2013. 

There are programs for children from birth through 6th grade.  Most programs require

registration.  Call

Born to Read at the Manchester Public Library is a 20-minute

lapsit program for babies to age one.   Mary Cheney library, Mondays from 9:30 – 9:50 a.m beginning

on September 9, 2013.  Call 860-645-0577 for more information and to

1 – 2 Year Old Storytime





1 – 2 Year Old Storytime at the Manchester Public Library is

a 20-minute program for toddlers.  This program takes place Tuesdays from

9:30 – 9:50 a.m. at the Mary Cheney library and Thursdays from 10:30 – 10:50

a.m. at Whiton Memorial library

2 – 3 Year Old Storytime





2 - 3 Year Old Storytime at the Manchester Public Library is

a 30-minute program for 2 and 3 year olds.  This program takes place

on Mondays from 10:30 -11 a.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 – 10

a.m. at Mary Cheney Library and on Mondays from 10:30 – 11 a.m. at Whiton

Memorial branch library, beginning the week of September 9, 2013.  Call

3 - 5 Year Old Storytime at the Manchester Public Library is

a 45-minute program that includes a craft.  This program takes place

on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. at the Mary

Cheney library and  Wednesdays from 10:30- 11:15 a.m. at Whiton Memorial

branch library beginning the week of September 9, 2013.  Call the Mary

Terrific Tuesday





Terrific Tuesday is an afternoon program for children in

kindergarten through second grade.  This book-based program includes a

craft and refreshments.  Whiton Memorial branch library on Tuesdays from

3:45 – 4:30 p.m.  beginning

September 10, 2013.  This program will include refreshments.  Notify

a librarian of any food allergies when registering.  Call 860-643-6892 at

Wacky Wednesday





Wacky Wednesday is an afternoon program for children in

kindergarten through second grade.  This book-based program includes a

Pajama Storytime





This Manchester Public Library bedtime storytime program

begins the week of September 9, 2013.  It takes place Tuesdays at Whiton

Memorial Branch Library 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. 

and Thursdays at Mary Cheney Library from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.  This program for children of all ages

Saturday Storytime





This Manchester Public Library storytime program begins on

Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. at Mary Cheney Library

.  This program for children of all ages does not require

Main Street, Manchester.





 





Preschool Playgroup





This Manchester Public Library program for children up to

age six begins on September 14, 2012 and does not require registration. 

It takes place on Fridays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Whiton and 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

at Cheney.  A book display will be available as well.  Call

Leila and the Nutmegs





Nutmeg includes a book discussion, and an activity.  This program for children in grades 4

through 6 requires registration. 

You must read the book to participate.  This program will be held at 3:45 – 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday,

September 17, 2013.  The book for

September is Saving Armpit

This program will include refreshments, so inform a librarian of any

Silkworms Parent-Child Book Club





The Silkworms Parent-Child Book Club includes a book

discussion and an activity.  This

program for children in grades 2 through 4 requires registration.  You must read the book to participate.  The book for September is Charlie

and the Chocolate Factory
by Roald Dahl.  This program will be held from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. on Saturday,

September 28, 2013. This program will include refreshments, so inform a

librarian of any food allergies.
