dancEnlight Summer Intensive for Youth

July 8 - 12, 2013
Ages 6-12  1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

dancEnlight is a nonprofit multi-cultural professional
modern dance company led by artistic director and Beijing native Lorelei Chang. Lorelei
has designed an age appropriate summer dance camp experience for young dancers or dancers-to-be ages 6-12.

This week offers young students the ability to try a variety of dance classes. The program focuses on expanding students'
knowledge of dance and the arts.

Dance and Chinese Calligraphy class is one of dancEnlight's signature courses, it teaches  kids how to use a brush to inspire their movement, gives them an opportunity to
experiment with creating their own characters with a traditional calligraphy
brush on rice paper, then compose a dance phrase based on the characters they made.

We also offer Yoga for Kids, Stretch of Happiness, Ballet, Modern  Dance, Making
Dances, Monkey Circle, Claps for Joy, Pilates for Kids, site specific and
Chinese Dance.

We will have an informal showing at the end of the week.
