Center Church Hosts Youth for True Colors Conference

For the second year in a row, Center Congregational Church in Manchester is providing hospitality for out-of-state Vermont students attending the True Colors XXI Conference at  UConn during this Spring Break, March 21 &

True Colors is a non-profit organization that works with other social service agencies, schools, organizations, and within communities to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognized and competently met.  The mission of the conference is to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ youth at home, in school, and in the community at large by providing them and those who care for them, with the skills to act as advocates and allies.

Center Congregational Church is a spiritual and historic landmark at the heart of downtown Manchester.  For over 200 years it has been a welcoming presence at the intersection of Center and Main and continues to embrace the changing needs of the community and wider world.Center Congregation Church, is an Open and Affirming church.Open and Affirming (ONA) is the United Church of Christ's (UCC) designation for congregations, campus ministries, and other bodies in the UCC which make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.
