Storyteller Ann Shapiro Coming to Manchester

Manchester Early Learning Center and
Manchester School Readiness Council presents Ann Shapiro, Storyteller.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2014 Ann Shapiro, Storyteller from the Connecticut Storytelling Center will perform at the Manchester Senior Center located at 549 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester. There will be a dinner starting at 6pm,  performance will start at 6:30pm.  There is no cost to families, but reservations are required.  This program is geared toward Preschool/Kindergarten age children.  Contact MELC to RSVP at 860.647.9659.

With guitar, ukulele, strumstick, mountain dulcimer, and an assortment of

non-conventional or "found" rhythm instruments, Ann Shapiro

weaves participatory tales and songs from many times and places. In performance, her lively performing style sparks interest

and heightens awareness in a variety of academic subject areas.  Apart from performing, Ann serves as

Executive Director for the Connecticut

Storytelling Center
in residence at Connecticut College in New London.
