Why do you want to be on the Manchester Board of Directors? To avoid urbanization of Manchester, to encourage our seniors to stay in town by reducing taxes, to ensure Manchester parks are kept in good condition, and the same for town infrastructure and school buildings.

What experience do you bring to the table? I served in leadership positions on various Parent/Teacher organizations when my children were in Manchester schools.  I was a member of the Board of Education for seven years; one year as chair.  I graduated from the Government Academy and Leadership Academy.  I served on several committees.   I served on the Board of Directors the past two years.  I have lived in Manchester for 42 years.

What do you think the town's most pressing issue is? Keeping budgets in check.  We cannot raise taxes 5.1% when the economy is growing at half that rate.

What do you love most about Manchester? The historical background, the parks, the swimming pools, the Community Y: these are assets which provide a fine quality of life to the community.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to dance!  I would love to have a dance hall downtown where musicians can provide the music.  Perhaps each night of the week would have a different genre of music.

How can residents keep up with you? Email address? Website? Facebook page? Twitter? Instagram? Etc.  I have a Facebook page and my email is susan.holmes@cox.net.
