Meet Rudy C. Kissmann, Democratic Candidate For the Board of Directors

Name:  Rudy C. Kissmann

Education:  Manchester School System, U.S. Navy, Hartford State Technical College, U.S.Fire Administration, Attended University of New Haven.

Work: U.S. Navy (4 years), Manchester Fire/Rescue,EMS (Firefighter,Paramedic, Fire Prevention Officer, Deputy Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal (41years).

Why do you want to be on the Manchester Board of Directors? GIVE BACK-- The reason I want to run for Board of Directors for the 3rd Term is because I want to give back to Manchester, a Community that I Love, that has done as well given me and my family so much----and to try to make Manchester a better place to live,work and raise a family. My daughter, son-in law and two grandsons still live in Manchester.

What experience do you bring to the table?Manchester Planning, Zoning-Inland Wetlands Commission  2007-2008.

United States Selective Service System District 1 Board Member appointed 2011 by Director of Selective for the President of the United States.
Independence Day(Fireworks) committee since it's beginning.
Cruising on Main Committee serving in many capacity including Operations Manager. Pride of Manchester and Heritage Committee. Seniors Tax rebate committee. Property Code committee. 

What do you think the town's most pressing issue is? There are several but three that stand out as the most important are;  the School system, two would be to finish redevelopment of Board Street and three would to promote jobs in our industrial companies and businesses within the Manchester area

What do you love most about Manchester? What I love about Manchester is the people and there community spirit as well as the many, many services the Town has to offer.

What do you like to do for fun? I like taking photos of outdoor scenes and people, I also enjoy salt water fishing as well as fishing in general, I enjoy working in my water garden and small Tomatoes patch, I also enjoy skeet and Trap shooting.
