Full name: Jason Paul Scappaticci

Why do you want to be on the Manchester Board of Education? I am a product of Manchester Public Schools and I believe in public education. I want to continue to give back to the community and make the schools stronger.

What experience do you bring to the table? I bring the prospective of somebody who works in higher education to the table. It is important to have a voice at the table of somebody who knows what is expected of our students once they graduate. My experience at MCC informs the decisions I make on the Board of Education.

What do you think the town's most pressing issue is? I believe that bringing our infrastructure up to the demands of today is most pressing. SMARTR is working on that and will have a recommendation soon. If reelected I look forward to working on that.

What do you love most about Manchester public schools? This is tough because there are so many things, the high school musicals and music performances, Illing's Odyssey of the Mind, Redline and so much more. I think that is probably what I love most. How active our schools are, the diversity of programming to appeal to so many types of interests and learners.

What do you like to do for fun? I love reading, right now I am reading the last book in the Divergent trilogy. I play tennis regularly with friends. I also enjoy running, many folks have probably seen me running around town weeknight evenings or Saturday mornings.

How can residents keep up with you? Email address? Website? Facebook page? Twitter? Instagram? Etc.  They can email me at http://manchester.patch.com/posts/article/mrmhs1999@yahoo.com mrmhs1999@yahoo.com. I have had some great emails so far and I welcome more.
