What's Open Around Town?

Help out your neighbors by letting them – and the rest of us – know what's open around town.

As the majority of Manchester struggles through its fourth straight day without power, most people want to know when their power is coming back on (CL&P says ).

Immediately after that, though, people seem to want to know what’s open around them – places where they can fill up their gas tank, get groceries or batteries, or even just a warm meal or a hot cup of coffee.

Not everyone in Manchester, and throughout rest of the state, is in the same boat as Connecticut struggles to recover from Winter Storm Alfred. Some of us have powers, while other don't (and might not for days). But everyone can do their part to help their neighbors – and the rest of us – by letting us know in the comment section below what you’ve seen around town recently that is still open.

Which grocery stores have power? Where can you fill up the gas tank (and hopefully not have to wait for 45 minutes)? Who’s got batteries? Restaurants in the area that are open? Coffee? Any and every sort of advice that you can provide to your fellow Manchester residents is helpful at the moment.

Or even if you just know about good Samaritans in town that have opened their doors or extended a helping hand to others in these trying times, please join in the conversation below.
