Irish eyes were smiling in Connecticut's capital city Saturday, March 10, for the 41st Annual Greater Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Thousands of green-clad revelers took to the streets early Saturday morning to line the parade route - and for the partying that accompanies the celebration. The parade began at the State Capitol, continued onto Main, Asylum and Ford streets before ending under the city’s Memorial Arch.

A number of civic groups and community organizations marched, while participating towns included Hartford, West Hartford, Manchester, South Windsor, Rocky Hill, Hebron, Vernon, Wethersfield, Newington, East Hartford, Glastonbury and Suffield.
