Snow – In October!?!?

Yes, Manchester, this weekend's forecast is calling for snow, possibly a lot of it, in October. No, unfortunately we're not kidding.

You gotta love that New England weather.

While we haven’t even hit Halloween yet, the National Weather Service has declared a Winter Storm Watch for the Manchester area from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning. The NWS is predicting as much as two to five inches of snow, which could be heavy and wet, coupled with wind gusts up to 30 miles by hour and temperatures in the mid-30s. The service warns that heavy snow could weigh down trees and cause widespread power outages as well.

The snow should end by 7 a.m. Sunday, the weather service predicts; gusty winds will remain, but the sun will come out and the high temperature should reach into the mid-40s Sunday afternoon.
