Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Manchester

The watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Hartford County, including Manchester, until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. 

The National Weather Service is forecasting scattered showers throughout the afternoon, with severe thunderstorms likely to strike the region after 4 p.m. Wednesday. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service, with the storms expected to produce six mile per hour winds and rainfall amounts between a quarter and a half an inch.
