Rotary Club of Manchester Presents $6,500 Check to HDI Victim’s Fund

The check will go to support the families of last August's Hartford Distributors Shooting.

Tuesday evening, the Rotary Club of Manchester presented a check for $6,500 to Steve Hollander, Vice President of Hartford Distributors, to the Teamsters Local 1035 Hartford Distributors Memorial Fund for the families of .
 
The $6,500 figure represents the money raised in excess of the cost of the , which was dedicated on Aug. 3 on the grounds of HDI. The memorial garden consisted of eight stainless steel memorials.
 
“During the course of fundraising the Rotary Club assured donors that all money raised in excess of the cost of the memorial would be donated to the HDI family fund. Tonight we are able to fulfill that promise," said Kate Sims, project chair for the Rotary Club of Manchester HDI Project and the Vice President of Operations for Eastern Connecticut Health Network. “We are proud, humbled and touched by the generosity of the public. This could only have been done with their support, which came from the local community, folks around the state, people within HDI’s industry and donors from all over the region."
