Possibility Of Heavy Rain This Weekend, Flooding

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, saying there is a small chance of flash flooding Sunday into Monday; looks like it might rain Saturday too.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Sunday into Monday, saying there is the potential for around two to three inches of rainfall across the tri-state area during that time.

"While urban and poor drainage flooding will be the main threat, there is a small chance of flash flooding," the NWS said.

The NWS Hydrometeorological Prediction Center said that "after an extended stretch of dry weather over the eastern third of the country, a widespread rainfall event is becoming likely from Florida to New England as a cold front interacts with a moisture-rich air mass from the Gulf of Mexico."

The heaviest rain is forecast for the deep south and Florida, and there could be snow in parts of Canada, but it looks like the Manchester area might get its share of rain as well.

As long as it's not too heavy, that could be welcome relief to an area that has had multiple Red Flag warnings recently due to dry weather that has contributed to .
