Manchester Pummeled by 32 Inches of Snow

An unofficial measurement puts Manchester's snowfall total at 32 inches from the blizzard of 2013.

32 inches.

That's how much snow Manchester got in the blizzard, according to unofficial snowfall totals released by the National Weather Service.

Some towns in Connecticut received more than three feet of snow, such as Hamden at 36", Oxford at 36.2" and Milford at 38".

The NWS has snow totals here for Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, as well as wind gusts. The winner in that category is Westport, which saw 82MPH gusts around 11 p.m. last night. In the New Haven area, the highest gusts were around 47 MPH around 9 p.m.

If you plan on braving the elements at all to go sledding, skiing, build a snowman or snow fort, or just go for a walk as the snow fell, then snap a picture as you do so. And then share it with your friends and neighbors here on Manchester Patch!
