What to get you caregiver for the holidays

Caregivers appreciate being recognized for the holidays. You might purchase a gift card to a local coffee shop, restaurant, or department store. Baked goods are always welcomed as we have so little time to bake. Even a note to tell them how much they are appreciated for all the love and nurturing that they give to your children on a daily basis would be appreciated. What they don't need is candy, coffee mugs, ornaments, articles labeled with " The Best Teacher", vor pictures of your children.
I have always gifted my service people (caregivers, teachers, hairdresser, etc.) what I would normally give them for one service. For most caregivers a days pay is around $60.00. You may or may not choose that amount but I think they are worth it. If you find that it beyond your means then do what you can- just don't leave them out.
