The "Grinch" Lurking in the Shadows

Observations from under the tree.

Morning light brings a bit of calm after the storm. First cup of coffee offers a few moments for reflection - what will the day bring, who will cross our path, will something special grace the day. The Holiday Season brings to light all the GOOD and the unpleasant.

Joyful dreams, helping hands and giving spirits are a few of the my favorite things. Tinsel tied packages, frosty snowflakes and jingling sleigh bells set the stage. Red velvet suits, shiny boots and special deliveries delight the child in all of us. Peace and goodwill bring out the best and the worst - observations from under the tree.

What comes naturally to some, threatens the cold hearted. Selfless acts of kindness shine light on the human strength to help one another in times of need. The shadows give cover for those "Grinch's" desperate for glory where there is none. Hurtful slings and arrows miss the target when it comes to the Spirit of the Holiday Season.
