Murals for PEACE - Dreams Do Come True

Public Eyesore VS Artists - a mission of PEACE

Wow, a little imagination can go a long way. Who would have ever thought that an idea to take an eyesore and use it for a platform to spread some PEACE would become a reality! Originally planned as a middle of the night attack has transformed into an approved event by the town.

For those of you who are not a part of the Social Media Network - here it is - brought to you by the Manchester Art Association and you are invited to join us June 18 & 19th to paint the ugly away. Artists from across state will be packing up their paints and brushes and heading to the site of the Old Manchester Parkade on Broad Street in Manchester. The goal is to create Murals for PEACE, to erase the not so nice, wannabe scribbles of that unwanted element that seems to have claimed it as their billboards.

Vandalism is not a expression to be tolerated. Freedom to create on a scale such as this, doesn't come along everyday and is something that everyone can share. For one weekend let us all spread a little PEACE - 9:00 am til dusk , be a part of history.

$10 donation for some primer gets you as much space as you want - such a deal.

There is always one person who cannot see the vision, all the more resason for artists to paint the way - biggest worry from the only objecting vote, afraid it would get vandalized :)
