Manchester Memorial Hospital Receives $700K in Energy Efficiency Incentives

Manchester Memorial Hospital, part of the Eastern Connecticut Health Network, recently received more than $700,000 in financial incentives as a result of participation in Energize Connecticut energy efficiency programs offered through Connecticut Light & Power and Yankee Gas. These incentives will help the hospital offset the cost of a $5 million project performed by Siemens that includes upgrades to high efficiency lighting, cooling, heating, and refrigeration systems.  The energy-efficient upgrades are expected to save the hospital more than 1.2 million kilowatts and nearly 14 million cubic feet of natural gas over new, standard equipment.  That translates to more than $300,000 savings in annual energy costs.
